Hello, I am a Portuguese Christian girl. I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and He is also God, because He is part of the Holly Trinity.
But I have a friend who is Jehovah’s Witness, and she says she don’t believe in that. Where can i find in the Bible the truth about this matter?

Yes, this is a crucial question to answer if we are going to view Jesus in the correct way and also have any chance of being saved. The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is God, has all the attributes that Jehovah, the Father, possesses. And, although I have tried in brief to address this question in the section, I will make a more thorough attempt now in response to your fine question. Beyond this, there will probably be added more material on this which can be accessed through the Main Menu section titled “Who Is Jesus?”, but tat will take some time for me to do. For now, let me address your question.
Briefly, the Witnesses teach that Jesus was a created being and has a special place and role as the Son, but is not on the same level as Jehovah, the Father. Further, they also deny that there is such a being as the Holy Spirit. Like those who have gone before, the Witnesses follow the same errors that have being set forth for hundreds of years in various forms and shades. However, here are some truths from the Bible that stand out in stark contrast to these assertions.
1. God in the plural form.
There are passages in the Bible which render the word God in the plural form. The word comes from the Hebrew Elohim. This indicates that there is more than one being who has the qualities of God. Here are a few of these passages. Note the word God is plural and the word Lord is the word for Jehovah.
GEN 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
GEN 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
GEN 3:22 ¶ Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, knowing good and evil; and now, lest he stretch out his hand, and take also from the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”–
DEU 6:4 ¶ “Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one! DEU 6:5 “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
2. How is God one?
If there are more who are God, how can it be said that there is ONE God? This is easily seen by noting that the word “one” is not always used to indicate absolute numbers, but rather is a demonstration of the unity in purpose and action between the ones that are being discussed. Note the following example.
GEN 2:24 For this cause a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
The husband and wife become ONE flesh as they are unified emotionally, psychologically and especially sexually. However, they are not absolutely ONE person.
3. Jesus claimed to be on the same level as Jehovah, the Father.
When God sent Moses to deliver His people from Egyptian bondage, Moses inquired as to how he should identify God to the people. God responded in the following passage.
EXO 3:14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM”; and He said, “Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.'”
This statement indicated that God, Jehovah, had always existed and would always exist. He had no beginning and has no end. He is alive because of His own power and depends on none to make Him so.
Jesus makes the same claim for Himself in the New Testament as He responded to His enemies. He also claims to be I AM.
JOH 8:58 Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was born, I am.” JOH 8:59 Therefore they picked up stones to throw at Him; but Jesus hid Himself, and went out of the temple.
4. The Bible plainly states that Jesus is God.
Although Jesus had a different role that the Father (God) or the Holy Spirit (God), He is on the same plain as these as far as Divine Character and qualities. Note these passages.
JOH 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. JOH 1:2 He was in the beginning with God. JOH 1:3 All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. JOH 1:14 ¶ And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, glory as of the only begotten from the Father, full of grace and truth.
PHI 2:5 Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, PHI 2:6 who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, PHI 2:7 but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. PHI 2:8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
5. We are to worship and honor Jesus as we worship and honor the Father.
Although we are not supposed to worship men, Satan or angels, Jesus accepted worship from men and angels and said He should be honored even as we honor the Father. Matthew 4:9, Acts 10:25-26, Rev. 19:10, Matthew 14:33, 20:20, John 9:38, 20:28.
JOH 5:22 “For not even the Father judges anyone, but He has given all judgment to the Son, JOH 5:23 in order that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.
6. Finally, the Father , Son and Holy Spirit are Deity, persons in the Godhead, possessing the qualities of God. See Matthew 3:16-17, 28:18-20, 1 Peter 1:1-2.
