Believing A Lie
In this religious world, it is common for people to say, as long as you sincerely believe something, then God will be pleased with your faith. However, in all other areas in life, sincerity of belief does not validate that belief as true. Also, believing a lie in all areas of life can result in dangerous and deadly consequences. Believing a drug is not harmful and taking it can result in death. The same is true in religion, believing a lie that conflicts with God Word, His truth, can result in the eternal destruction of our souls. Let us look at an Old Testament example of believing a lie along with some modern-day applications to help us to obey the truth and reject all lies of Satan.
