Promoting the goals of cooperation and achieving great work in benevolence, evangelism and edification, many have long sought ways for local churches to cooperate together. Usually, they have chosen means adopted long ago by deno0minations resulting in centralization of oversight and treasury under some sponsoring church or human organization. Rather than questioning the authority of such schemes, they point to the great work that is done. Is there a way for local churches to cooperate together and still remain independent and autonomous? Let us search the Scriptures to see how God would have us cooperate and reject all human proposals that He has not authorized.
