Faith That Overcomes The Past v2
In our past, we see a collections of our spiritual failures and successes. By His grace, we have overcome our sins through His forgiveness. By His grace through providing what we need by His Word working in us, our successes have been to His glory through His power. Looking at the past brings great benefits but also can cause us to stumble in the present. Our past sins can grieve us to the point of dragging us and others down. Our past successes can cause us to be proud or complacent, despising the present making us unfruitful now in His service. How can our faith learn from but overcome our past. We look at Caleb, Paul and then ourselves to see the type of faith that serves God actively and strongly in the present looking forward to His promise of eternal life.
