Jesus’ Parable of The Laborers In The Vineyard 2
In the workplace, we are told last hired are the first fired. Senority mean much for pay and benfits in many job situations. But, when it comes to the kingdom of God, whether we have many years to labor or only a few, we will be given the same reward of eternal life. Is God unfair to graciously give to all the same reward despite the difference in the amount of time we labor in His kingdom, His church? Jesus told a startling parable of the laborers in the vineyard to address those who might think they deserve more of a reward because they labor more. What is the meaning of this parable and the applications to us today?
