Jesus’ Parable of The Growing Seed

Jesus spoke this simple parable that has a profound message. He told of a man that scatters seed on the ground and then goes to bed. Each day he marvels at the mysterious growth of the seed until the crop matures and then he harvested it. The lesson is, that the gospel represented by the seed is powerful enough to save and change people with a good and honest heart so they can be forgiven and mature in faith to the point they can enjoy eternal life. As we teach His Word, we must hope and trust in its power to save and change others not in worldly thinking and programs that are often practiced to entice people to obey the gospel.
