Jesus’ Parable of The Tares
Preacher: Gary Hunt | Series: The Parables of Jesus
For now, sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between those who sincerely serve the Lord and those who are superficial, hypocritical and intent on offending in a sinful way other Christians. This being the case, what should we do now? Jesus tells the parable of the tares, the weeds that llok similar to wheat that grows entangling itself with the good plants. In order to not destroy the good plants, the landowner commands to let the tares grow with the wheat until the harvest and then separate them. On the day of judgment Jesus will perfectly separate the unrighteous who claim to be in His kingdom from the righteous. Knowing this though, does this mean we should not identify and not support false teachers and lovingly disciploine wayward members who do not repent of public sins?
