Suffering Before Glory v2
The Jews were expecting a Messiah who was a military savior who would free them from their enemies and restore the greatness of Israel. But, Jesus came as a suffering servant who would die for the sins of the world so that we might be free from Satan and death. While on earth, Jesus suffered much as He served His Father but after His death and resurrection, He was exalted by His Father given all authority over heaven and earth, glory above all. We too as His followers can share in that eternal glory if we are will to serve God on earth and endure suffering and even death because of our faith in Christ. The suffering must come before the glory. Let us look at Christ and then us to see this revealed in the Word of God to encourage us to faithfulness..
