After teaching on kingdom character to be displayed in the form of the beatitudes, eight qualities the world disregards and even despises, Jesus turns to kingdom influence. Christians are to be different people that make a difference in the world living as salt and light, joyously following the righteous life, leading the world to praise God and hopefully some obeying the gospel. In what ways are we to e like salt and light? Beware, in case the world has more of a negative influence on us than we have a positive influence on them.
