The third and last time Satan’s words are recorded he speaks to Jesus, the Son of God, God in the flesh. Three times he tempts Jesus using the same avenues he has succeeded with in destroying countless human beings, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life. But, Jesus quotes the Word of God, resists his temptations, trusting in His heavenly Father’s will, continuing on in His ministry leading to the cross where He died for the sins of the world, winning final victory over Satan. What can we learn from Jesus withstanding Satan depending on God’s Word?
