Jesus spoke many parables designed to separate eager honest hears from dishonest hardened hears. A parable is a comparison of physical to spiritual things designed to reveal a spiritual lesson regarding Jesus’ kingdom and its citizens. In the parable of the unmerciful servant, Jesus teaches the clear lesson that we must be willing to forgive those who sin us and repent and turn to God or God will not forgive our sins. Often, we fail to forgive others as we should placing our salvation in danger. Let us learn the lesson of this parable and become the forgiving people God wants Christians to be.
