Preacher: Gary Hunt | Series: God And The Nations v2 | Before Jesus, the Old testament is clear that God ruled the nations judging righteously accomplishing His purpose to bring Jesus into the world to save humanity. Having done so, does God rule the nations today through Jesus as Lord of Heaven and Earth? The New Testament is not filled with various judgments Jesus has carried out against the nations like the Old Testament is filled with those God executed. But, there is one detailed judgment Jesus spoke of that he brought about using the Romans to destroy Jerusalem culminating in 70 AD. Also, there are Old Testament prophesies foretelling Jesus’ rule over the nations, five of which we notice in this three part lesson. We can be thankful that Jesus is in control of the nations today judging them righteously without violating their free will patiently waiting for all to obey His gospel and be saved.
