How would we react if our nation was subjected to a national judgment from another unrighteous nation or nations resulting in either demising our power or destroying our nation permanently? Would we still have faith in God that since Jesus is now ruling the nations, He knows what He is doing. He will preserve the righteous even through death. Do we have the type of faith that even in social and economic turmoil and our lives endangered, we will serve and pray, looking to Him for all blessings each day including His mercy? Or, would our faith shrink and possibly be abandoned to be carried away by the unbelief of a shaken nation? In this lesson, we explore what happened during the days of the prophet Habakkuk when Judah was judged by Babylon. Then, we make applications to ourselves in the second part of this lesson so that our faith like Habakkuk’s might endure even in spite of suffering through a national judgment.
