As Christians, we are to face life with courage, confidence, boldness rather than fear. On at least five different occasions Jesus calls on people dealing with different challenges to take courage. These challenges include unforgiven sins, great sickness and suffering, fear of the unknown in a stormy dark sea, fear of being overcome by a hostile world and possibly having service to God hindered by evil men. In all these, Jesus commands courage because of what He is doing. How does this apply to us today as we face the same challenges in this life.
