My grace is sufficient for you for power is perfected in weakness
How should we react when we are experiencing great suffering, physical, mental emotion or even persecution for Christ’s sake? When Paul was plagued with great suffering, he asked the Lord three times to remove his thorn in the flesh. We too can ask God to relieve our suffering and sometimes He does. But, God told Paul that He wood not remove his thorn but would give Him grace to help him be strengthened in His service. Paul said God’s purpose was so that he might not be exalted but would remain humble so the power of God might work greatly through him. God also will give us by His grace the strength needed to serve Him and be used in a way that will glorify Him so that one day we will be with Him for eternity.
