Romans BC9T Two Ways of Pursuing Righteousness 2
In Romans 9:30-10:21, the apostle Paul write of two ways of pursuing righteousness, one will procure us condemnation before God while only the other will lead us to forgiveness of sins through Jesus and eternal life. The Jews pursued righteousness (justification, forgiveness) by a law of works where God would be placed into debt because of their obedience. The Gentiles (those not Jews) pursued righteousness by the gospel through faith in Jesus trusting God and obeying His conditions of salvation to receive His gracious mercy through the blood of Jesus. This is the only way we can be saved. We dare not add to or subtract from the conditions of salvation God has given by which we are saved through faith in Jesus. Let us studying with a desire to submit to God’s only way to be made right by His gospel and reject all other false ways to be saved.
