Jesus proclaims that loving God is the greatest commandment of all. Sadly, in the so-called Christian world, love for God has been reduced to strong but empty emotion that neither reverences the Word of God or seeks to obey it in all aspects. Therefore, let us carefully study what loving God means since the is love’s greatest and foremost obligation. Love for God must be the greatest consuming devoted commitment in our lives. The proof of loving God can only be shown by obeying His commandments, beginning with becoming a Christian in the way the gospel teaches. Then, it continues by devotion to the apostles’ teaching in worshipping God, working with a local congregation and living as a Christian in our various relationships each day seeking to please God above all.
