And, sadly, often, we are given the wrong answer, which if we follow, will result in eternal destruction. Contrary to popular wrong answers, the New Testament is clear in its answer to this vital question. Let us seek together what the Scriptures say we must do in order to be saved, forgiven of our sins by a gracious, merciful, loving and powerful God. Let us not add to or take away from the Word of God in this or any other topic. Is baptism (immersion in water) necessary for salvation. Many say emphatically it is not. But, the Scriptures clearly teach that it is. Let us see what else the Scriptures say is necessary for us to be saved. And, let us do what God commands so we can be forgiven while we are given the precious opportunity to do so.
