About 3000 Souls On Pentecost First To Hear And Obey The Gospel v2
In Acts 2, we have the record of the first people ever to hear and obey the gospel of Christ, become Christians, saved, forgiven of their sins. If we want to know what must do to be saved today, we must start here. What did the apostles preach that day? What did about 3000 souls do to be saved that day? Does the way they were saved agree with how we say we were saved? Today, there are many ways of salvation being taught and practiced although none of them are in Acts 2, or the rest of the book of Acts or the New Testament. Examples include the sinner’s prayer and infant baptism. Also, on that day of Pentecost, Jesus added those who were saved by Him to His one body, the church. Today, we are told after we become a Christian, we can join any one of many conflicting denominations which claim to be Jesus’ church but are not found in Acts 2, the rest of the book of Acts or the new Testament. Let us study again this first case of conversion and be willing to be saved in the way the apostles taught, not by the error of men.
