Christ King and High Priest
Jesus said that all in the Old Testament written about Him must be fulfilled. One among the hundreds of prophecies about Jesus is found in Zechariah 6:9-15 where he foretells that one would serve as king and high priest at the same time. Under the Law of Moses, this would be impossible because the king and high priest had to come from two different tribes of Israel. How has Jesus become both king and high priest? And, what does that mean for us today?
