More From Philippians 4 Overcoming Enemies of The Cross of Christ
Preacher: Gary Hunt | Series: Philippians
Paul write the Philippian letter while under house arrest in Rome waiting for the decision from Caesar whether he would be released or executed. He writes a letter of joy based on commitment to Christ under all conditions of life. Throughout his letters and preaching, Paul, along with the other apostles, inspired men and Jesus repeatedly warn of false prophets or teachers. Paul describes them as enemies of the cross of Christ, which if we follow, will lead to eternal destruction. He exhorts the Philippians to identify, expose and turn away from these false teachers and follow the Truth of the gospel they had learned and seen in the life of Paul and other faithful men of the Lord. Let us also cling only to the gospel and reject the enemies of the gospel today no matter what their popularity among many may be.
