To please God, we must crucify, put to death, the deeds of the flesh, the works of Satan, that are deadly to our souls. But, with the help of the gospel that has the power to save us and change us, revealed and confirmed by the Holy Spirit, we are also to bear the fruit of the Spirit, the Holy Spirit. Over time, we can be changed by the gospel with our character habitually displaying such qualities as love, peace patience and others we will study in the lesson. These things are accomplished as we allow the gospel, Christ, to live in us each day.
