In Mat 7:7-12, Jesus admonishes those who would follow Him to be persistent in praying to God, not give up but be dependant on our heavenly Father to answer us with what is good according to His will in His own time. We must be persistent also in our entire Christian life. We must be under God’s control, exercise self-control so that we may finish the race of faith. Also, in Mat 7:12, Jesus state the Golden rule, treat others as you want them to treat you. We must love others as we love ourself. If we do not, we will be separated from God and He will not hear our prayers.
