About 100 years after they had begun to treturn to Jerusalem from Babylonian captivity, the Jewish people increasingly displayed sinful thinking toward God which caused them to be irreverent in their worship and their daily conduct. Mistrusting God’s love and denying His justice, they halfheartedly offered Him worthless sacrifices and lived immorally each day. Malachi the prophet was sent to rebuke for their mistreatment of god and one another. What lessons can we learn from Malachi for us to apply today?
